Mrs. Kavanaugh

I am a graduate of Indiana University Northwest and have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Counseling, as well as a Master's degree in Special Education. I previously worked for the Porter County Education Services as an Educational Diagnostician. In this role I was assigned to identify students that may need an IEP.   My teaching experience includes time spent with Munster, Gary, Lake Ridge, and a few years spent in overseas school systems. I have also tutored students and started a national honor society at the elementary level.

In my free time I enjoy traveling in the U.S. and abroad. Some of my other interests include reading, kayaking, enjoying time with family and friends, or just being outdoors. I have two wonderful adult children and a loving dog named Wrigley who recently completed his certification for being an emotional support pet.
